Hauntsville Film Fest 2024

Hauntsville Film Fest is back! November 1 & 2 at Stone Event Center in Campus No. 805! Hauntsville is the only woman-run horror film festival in the Southeast United States! Located in the heart of Huntsville, Alabama, our festival is dedicated to showcasing the incredible talent of female, female-presenting, and non-binary filmmakers. This year, we proudly commit to featuring films that are directed, produced, or written by individuals from these underrepresented communities.

After a successful inaugural festival that attracted over 500 attendees, we’re thrilled to return with an even more exciting lineup. Our mission is to keep horror—and cinema in general—accessible to all, especially in a region where genre film can often feel intimidating. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to explore the world of horror without the fear of judgment.

Join us in a renovated venue, a historic school transformed into a vibrant hub for creativity. Enjoy a weekend filled with cinematic experiences, including screenings in our large event center equipped with multiple screens and a state-of-the-art sound system. Dive into the action at our VHS market, mingle at the kick-off party featuring installations and music, listen to our special guests, and discover unique art at our artist market.
