Kitty Anne is the founder and director of Hauntsville Film Fest, the Southeast’s only woman-run horror film festival dedicated to spotlighting queer and femme voices in genre cinema. Under her leadership, Hauntsville has grown into a beloved hub for underrepresented voices in horror, creating a vibrant space where filmmakers and fans celebrate the genre together.

Kitty also leads Hello Huntsville Horror, a North Alabama horror film club known for its highly themed screenings. Each event is meticulously crafted, blending film programming with immersive experiences that showcase Kitty’s event planning and organizational expertise.

Beyond Huntsville, Kitty guest programs at independent theaters across the South, hosts engaging film talks, and writes for publications with a focus on her and femme horror cinema. She’s partnered with festivals like Sidewalk Film Festival, Chattanooga Film Festival, and Atlanta Film Festival, and even hosted the opening night of Southern Fried Film Festival.
